Social Groups

LGBT+ Social Groups

LGBT+ Social groups are good for members of the LGBT+ community to network, socialise, feel a sense of belonging and often are beneficial for your mental health. We need LGBT+ social groups as they create queer safe spaces for people to meet like-minded trans, non-binary, gay, lesbian, bisexual etc. people that they may not usually meet in their everyday social circles. Social Groups/Events strengthen the LGBT+ community and we need more of them in Kerry.

As more LGBT+ people come out, alongside the shift towards a more accepting inclusive society there is an ever-growing need for a dedicated LGBT+ Hub in Co. Kerry. This is where ScEEN in Kerry comes in, we are here to promote and create existing LGBT+ social communities to thrive and flourish throughout our county.

ScEEN in Kerry organise monthly social events, coffee evenings, and outings, so watch this space on Facebook our events page and follow us on Facebook and Instagram. If you are interested in organising a new LGBT+ social group or want us to promote new events we’d love to hear from you! Please contact us.
